Getting ready for Halloween in Ireland and your vape suddenly stops working? Learn what to check for battery, pod and charging issues, and when to stop using your device.
You’ve put on your costume and are all set to go out with your friends. However, your vape is not working. It might be that your device isn’t charging, blinking, or working with your new pod. This can be frustrating when preparing for your Halloween party/event in Ireland. Most issues can be easily resolved, but it can indicate that you shouldn’t be using your device.
What To Do:
Battery:
The first thing to check is the battery on your device. If your device is rechargeable. Sometimes we can forget to charge our vapes. Check the battery level. This will vary depending on your device but could be shown by a small light or percentage.

Charge your vape using the recommended accessories. Your device should be dry and rechargeable. Avoid using damaged cables. Dublin Fire Brigade recommends charging all electronic devices on a firm, non-flammable surface. Never leave your device to charge overnight. If your battery is extremely hot, swollen,n or has an odd smell, ll stop using it. Do not charge if there are signs of damage.
No Vapour
When picking up your vape, there is no reaction. This does not necessarily mean your battery is not working. It could be blocked, connection issues, or internal issues. Check your mouthpiece and air holes. Sometimes there can be a buildup of dust. If you have a pod device, make sure your pod is connected properly. Make sure there is no dirt on any visible connections. Always clean your device as per instructions. Do not put any sharp objects or liquids into your device. If there are no obvious issues and no vapour is being produced, there could be an issue with your pod or coil. Do not force your device.
Pod Not Connected
If your pod is not connected properly your device may not be working. If you have just fitted a new pod,d remove and fit your pod as per instructions. Make sure your pod is connected properly. If you have a new prefilled pod, do make sure there are no protective stickers or rubbers. IVG Smart Max pods should be checked to make sure they are connected properly to your refill container. (IVG Support Centre) Not all pods are the same. If your device is still not detecting your pod, stop using your device. See the troubleshooting section. Forcing your device could cause more damage.

Not Charging
You have plugged your device in to prepare for Halloween. However, after 30 minutes, there is no reaction. Before assuming your device is broken,n check your cable and power source.
